Our Story

Hola Swim is a collaboration between two lifelong friends Aida Soria and Syncletica Maestas who grew up on the beaches of sunny San Diego. Soria and Maestas, both San Diego natives, met at the San Diego Zoo gift shop, where they worked while still in high school. Maestas finished a business degree at Parsons, The New School for Design, and Soria received a communications degree from San Diego State University. The company, originally called Dos Caras Swimwear, started as a dare from Soria to Maestas to begin a swimsuit company, simply because they could not find suits that they truly loved. The name later changed to Hola Swim, a reflection of their Latino background and friendly demeanor. Their collections are designed with multifunctional versatility in mind, these styles can be worn from day to night, beach to city, as swim or ready-to-wear. Hola Swim signature swimsuits are designed and produced entirely in San Diego, California. This is a top priority for the ladies to ensure that they can be a part of the process from start to finish to ensure satisfaction for our customers. They have been nominated twice and won in 2018 for the San Diego CityBeats Bestie Awards for Best Swimsuit Shop in San Diego and have been featured in top publications such as Vogue Paris and Cosmo Latina.
